Trout River Dry Kilns operated a flooring mill and stair tread manufacturing facility in Crewe, Virginia, for more than 26 years, producing solid and engineered flooring as well as solid stair treads for major home improvement retailers. In 2024, the owner retired and sold the mill equipment to a company in Canada.
The stair treads were originally manufactured to FAS standards. However, since the remaining inventory has not been individually graded, we are offering it as utility grade to ensure there is no misunderstanding regarding quality expectations.
