On Tuesday, August 20, 23 Bright Star Auctions team members, along with eight family members, participated in a heartwarming and impactful Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) food packing event in Shipshewana, IN. This initiative brought together people from various walks of life, working towards a common goal—feeding children in food-scarce areas across the globe.
A Collaborative Effort
The event saw participants working in teams of eight to measure, weigh, and package meals consisting of rice, soy, vitamins, and dehydrated vegetables. These meals were then boxed in groups of 36 for delivery to children in need around the world. In just two hours, Bright Star staff, along with several church groups and students from a local middle school, packed enough food to feed 146 children for an entire year. This tremendous effort was part of a larger goal to pack 800,000 meals during the event, and Bright Star was proud to contribute 53,500 meals towards this target.
Looking Ahead
At Bright Star Auctions, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Participating in the FMSC event was a reminder of the impact we can have when we come together for a cause bigger than ourselves. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event and hope to make an even greater impact.
